Japanese Car Makers like Toyota Reach 30% Sales in the US

Japanese car makers particularly Toyota Motor Corporation, Nissan Motor Company and Honda Motor Company increased their vehicle production as well as sales because of the rise of demand in US and in other countries particularly in Asia. Toyota, the world’s largest auto manufacturer, has made more cars this year compared to last with a 62% increase in production. It was able to produce 591,109 vehicles in April according to the company’s statement. The export of Toyota cars have also doubled with a 120% increase while the output overseas also went up by 55%. Overall, the Japan production increased 71%.

Honda Motor Company, considered as Japan’s second largest car maker, has also increased the production of vehicles to 27%; specifically to a whopping 294,308 vehicles. Nissan, on the other hand, ranked third place when it comes the production and sales of cars and light trucks with a 57% increase compared to last year.

Many people are surprised with this increase in sales as many people are affected by the past economic slump. The statistics simply show that cars are still viewed as necessities by the modern people of today.

One probable reason for the boost in sales and production is TMC’s great incentive campaign. This incentive campaign has been offered starting this year and many are in the hopes of it continuing. This incentive campaign involves various tactics including no interest loans for up to 5 years and also by providing discounted leases on many brand models from the world’s no.1 auto maker. Many consumers and car owners are actually taking advantage of the great incentive based sales of Toyota since many Americans love bargains. Even if many Americans are currently suffering from the economic slump, they still feel that 2010 is the best time to buy since they are getting they are getting lot of discounts or no interest loans. Many still manage to come up with ready finances just so they can grab the great deals offered by the Japanese company.

Experts analyzed this goodwill from Toyota and many see it at a way of reaching out to the world and to those who believe in the popular name particularly because of the general reaction to the global recalls of Toyota cars. With this action from the number one vehicle company from Japan, more and more people are once again pumping up their confidence and belief in the name.

The boost in sales started early this year with a 50.5% US sales increase in the first 8 days of March. This showing of improvement when it comes to caring for car owners is one proof that the company is intent on providing their customers and supporters with goodwill in the form of discounted cars or loans without interest. This is one reason why competitors are trying very hard to aggressively match the offers made by Toyota, thus, also contributing to the overall vehicles sales in US. With big car manufacturers giving away such incentives, more people are encouraged to make their vehicle purchases this year.

When Americans are asked about their confidence in the Toyota name, many – particularly 74% of Toyota owners – say that they have not really lost confidence in the vehicles produced by the company despite the car recalls earlier. The recalls were caused by sticking accelerator pedals in some car models and the situation created a dip in confidence earlier.

In year 2009, Toyota reported a net loss of around 137 billion yen. So the current pump up in sales is a good thing and this was proven by the reported net income of around 469 billion yen for 2010.
